Dear IMET2000 Team,

My participation in the Oxford Summer School Programme was a valuable and enriching experience that contributed significantly to both my academic development and my future career plans in medicine. The programme provided me with the opportunity to strengthen my clinical knowledge and practical skills while gaining a broader understanding of the responsibilities and qualities required of a future doctor.

Throughout the programme, I participated in a variety of clinical and academic learning sessions, including clinical examination, history taking, communication skills, medical ethics, A to E assessment, and surgical case-based teaching. These sessions allowed me to build on the theoretical knowledge I have gained throughout medical school and understand how it is applied in real clinical situations.
This experience has contributed to my future career plan by helping me identify the qualities I want to develop as a doctor: strong clinical reasoning, effective communication, sound ethical judgement, practical competence, adaptability, and compassion towards patients. I intend to carry the knowledge and skills gained from this programme back to my university and incorporate them into my continued medical education.

Overall, the Oxford Summer School Programme was an important step in my development as a medical student. It strengthened my confidence, expanded my clinical perspective, and gave me a clearer understanding of the type of doctor I aspire to become. I am grateful for the opportunity to participate and will continue to build upon this experience as I progress through my medical studies and prepare for my future career in medicine.
