Aims and Objectives:
This course is a comprehensive two-day program designed to bridge the gap between clinical research expertise and educational proficiency. Although many healthcare professionals possess advanced knowledge of medical research principles, effective mentorship and instruction require a distinct set of pedagogical competencies. The course equips healthcare professionals with foundational research skills and evidence-informed teaching strategies.
This training session specifically aims to:
Support learners to develop and display an acceptable level of the following:
- Build and demonstrate solid knowledge of medical research principles and key concepts.
- Understand the principles of clinical governance and audits.
- Formulate clear and relevant clinical research questions
- Design a basic research project with appropriate data collection and analysis strategies.
- Read and interpret scientific papers effectively.
- Communicate research findings through structured academic writing.
- Coach and teach learners key concepts of medical research.
