Aims and Objectives:
Inspiring Medical Excellence Through Research (IMET-R) is a research educational workshop designed by the continuous medical education department at IMET2000. Over a course of 3 days, this workshop capacitates Palestinian healthcare students and practitioners in basic research skills, through practical and competency-based learning. IMET-R aims to improve Research Education in Healthcare Sciences and enhance the quality of the research studies conducted by future Palestinian Healthcare workers.
This course specifically aims to:
Supporting learners to develop and display an acceptable level of the following:
- Acquire knowledge related to medical research, including basic, clinical, and applied research.
- Master research methodologies, including study design, data analysis, and interpretation.
- Understand ethical principles and professional standards in research and clinical practice.
- Develop a sense of responsibility and activism to address healthcare needs and improve health outcomes.
- Conduct research projects independently, adhering to ethical and regulatory guidelines.
- Develop a scholarly attitude, promoting a critical and evidence-based approach to research.
- Demonstrate leadership skills in research projects and advocate for research integration.
