IMET2000-Pal Training- the Neurosurgical Training Program for Physician Scholarship, Mansoura University Hospitals-Egypt, (2020-2022) Dr. Motaz Izzeddin

Dear IMET

First of all, I would like to thank you very much for the support and confidence you have given me in renewing the scholarship.

Therefore, I would like to give you a summary of what I accomplished in the past year.

As I told you earlier, during the first year of training, I completed the training period in the departments of surgery, anesthesia, intensive care unit and emergency,

after that submitted my regular shift in the neurosurgery department.

From 1/1/2021 to today, during my training period in the Neurosurgery Department, I was trained to receive and deal with emergency cases, follow-up patients in the department, and clinic as pre operative and post operative under the supervision of seniors.

Assisting in operations as the second assistant and the other case as a first assistant, and some operations as a surgeon under supervision from the seniors.

Every week there is a scientific lecture in the department and ground round to discuss the cases in the ward with stuff professor.

I has attended and participate in the workshop of the Annual Congress of Neurosurgery Department, Zagazig University in collaboration with The Egyptian society on Neurological Surgeons in

Direct vertebral derotation techniques in scoliosis , spine endoscopy, cranial ventricular endoscopy and brain mapping and intraoperative neurophysiology techniques.
