Physicians, Nurses, Patient safety officers, Infection control officers, and others who need to develop their skills.
Aims and Objectives:
This course is designed for physicians and nurses from the governmental health care hospitals of different districts at the west bank, who are working at the critical department. This program specifically aims to:
- Identify patients who are at risk for HAI.
- Describe the scope of the problem of CLABSI and VAP.
- Review the structure of the surveillance methodology used for data collection.
- Define key terms and protocol used for collecting CLABSIs and VAP.
- Discuss the central line bundle and VAP bundle in intensive care unit.
- Apply definitions to example case scenarios.
